DENTISTS

Tyler Wallingford, DDS

Dr. Tyler Wallingford is an Atlantic, Iowa native where his family still resides. Since graduating in 2017 from the University of Iowa School of Dentistry, Dr. Wallingford has been practicing for the last year at the Family Dental Center located in Atlantic. His educational background also includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Athletic Training from Central College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and a Master of Science - Clinical Anatomy where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Dr. Wallingford will be seeing patients and welcomes new patients to contact Clay and Associates DDS, PLC to schedule their next dental appointment with him. He will be providing dental care for the entire family. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Community engagement and volunteer activities have been an important part of Dr. Wallingford’s dental experience. Volunteering for the Red Bird Mission, Care and Share House, Phillips Cupboard, Habitat for Humanity, Project Sealed, Summer Pre-dental Academy, Iowa Mission of Mercy (IMOM) and Kids Against Hunger are just a few of the projects he has assisted on organizing along with actively working.

Linda Bieri, DDS

Dr. Linda Olson Bieri graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1978. Since then, she has been practicing general dentistry in private practice. She spent her first eight years of practice in partnership with her father, Dr. Miles Olson, in Laurens. Dr. Steven Christensen joined their practice in 1986, and the three of them practiced together in Laurens for eight years.  Dr. Bieri and Dr. Christensen have practiced as a pair in Laurens since 1994 and in Spirit Lake since 2005.

Dr. Bieri and her husband, Sheldon, have been married forty years. Together, they have three children and three grandchildren. Oh yes, they have two sons-in-law too! Their golden retriever, Oliver, is the most famous dog in Laurens.

Dr. Bieri belongs to both the American Dental Association and the Iowa Dental Association.  She has served as President of the Fort Dodge District, the Lakes Dental Study Club, and the University of Iowa Dental Alumni Association. Dr. Bieri was selected for the both the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International College of Dentists. In 2005, she received the title of Outstanding Dentist of the Year for the Iowa Chapter of Pierre Fauchard Academy.

Dr. Bieri continues in her role as adjunct faculty for senior dental students at the University of Iowa – a very special interest of hers. This relationship started with Dr. Olson and the college more than forty years ago.  One student is selected per year to practice with staff and patients at the Laurens and Spirit Lake offices for five weeks, which provides valuable clinical experience not possible in the university setting.  Dr. Bieri considers the private practice of dentistry a privilege.  Private practice provides the opportunity to develop trust and faith in each other as doctor and patient, unlike any other experience in dentistry.

Dr. Bieri anticipates continued teamwork as the new dentists assume leadership roles in the practices.  She prays that patients and staff will support the team’s goals to advance skills and technology in order to increase the ease and comfort of patients in the coming years.
